Bepanthen cream accelerates the healing of superficial wounds. It contains the active ingredient dexpanthenol (a precursor to vitamin B5).
Dexpanthenol is quickly and easily absorbed into the skin after application. In skin cells, it is converted into pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), which significantly affects the formation and renewal of skin epithelium, accelerates wound healing and relieves inflammation.
Bepanthen cream is non-greasy and absorbs quickly into the skin. It is suitable for moist skin lesions, unprotected skin and hairy skin. It is easy to apply, so it is suitable for painful sunburns and other minor burns.
Bepanthen cream is used for:
- care of dry, rough or cracked skin,
- breast care during breastfeeding, treatment of inflamed and cracked nipples,
- baby care: prevention and treatment of diaper rash,
- acceleration of healing and overgrowth of the skin or mucous membrane surface with a layer of cells in minor injuries (e.g. minor burns and abrasions), irritated skin (e.g. after radiotherapy, phototherapy or exposure to UV rays), chronic ulcers and bedsores, anal fissures, skin grafts and cervical ulcers,
- skin care during and after discontinuation of corticosteroid treatment.
What Bepanthen cream contains
The active substance is dexpanthenol. 1 g of cream contains 50 mg of dexpanthenol. The other ingredients (excipients) are DL-pantolactone, phenoxyethanol, potassium hexadecyl hydrogen phosphate, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, lanolin (E 913), isopropyl myristate, propylene glycol and purified water.
